Kitchen Design
Remodel.
The heart of the house, drawn with care.
More than an update — a considered approach to the work.
A kitchen is the room every other room is judged by. We draw kitchens that work harder than they look — generous prep, two cooks without collisions, a place to put the post and the wine and the dog’s bowl.
Inset cabinetry, integrated appliances, honed stone, a proper hood that is engineered for the BTUs you actually have. We resolve the floor plan first — the triangle, the storage, the light — then layer the materials. Every kitchen gets a working island, a real pantry, and at least one piece of joinery you cannot buy.
Six disciplines
under one roof.
A complete project is not one workstream — it is a dozen, played in concert. We conduct all twelve.
Layout & circulation
Two-cook kitchens, butler’s pantries, dedicated prep zones, and proper landing space for every appliance.
Custom cabinetry
Inset, hand-assembled, and finished in our trusted shop. Every drawer dovetailed; every door hung true.
Stone & tile selection
Slab walks, dry-laid mockups, and sealed honed surfaces. Material chosen for the way it ages, not the way it looks at the showroom.
Appliances integrated
Premium appliances fully integrated into the millwork, so the cabinet line never breaks.
Lighting layered
Task, ambient, and accent layers on separate dimming circuits. Mornings, dinners, and parties on three different scenes.
Mechanical done right
Hood CFM matched to the range, make-up air handled, and the fridge run kept off the cook line. The boring work that everything else depends on.
Four chapters — each one planned,
scheduled, and kept.
Conversation
We meet at the kitchen and watch how you actually move through it. Rituals first, fixtures second.
Design
Plans, elevations, and a 3D rendering of every cabinet face. Stone and tile samples on the counter before a cut is made.
Build
Demolition, framing if required, and all trades coordinated to the kitchen schedule.
Reveal & Care
Punch list, final stone seal, appliance walk-through, and a final hand-over.
A few honest questions,
answered.
Can you work with the cabinetry I already have?
Sometimes — we will assess hinges, finish, and box construction at the first visit. More often we recommend new inset boxes, since the difference shows for the next thirty years.
Will we lose the kitchen for the duration?
Usually. We help most clients set up a temporary prep station with a cooktop, microwave, and small fridge in another room.
Do you handle the stone fabrication?
We coordinate slab selection, templating, and fabrication with trusted Austin-area fabricators. You walk the slabs personally before purchase.
